Chamber Seeks Community Support: Final Call for Flower Funds

The Chamber is Community: HCC worker hangs a flower basket

In the spirit of community, the Chamber is launching a heartfelt appeal to residents and businesses to support its annual Beautification Program. The program, a symbol of civic pride, graces our streets with vibrant summer flower baskets. As the Chamber aims to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our beloved city, it is calling upon the generosity of the community to ensure the program’s continued success.

Mason County is well known for its lush surroundings and for its authentic small-town feel. We hope that the lovely flower baskets that grace our streets will soon be hung with care—providing a sunny scene to locals and to welcome visitors to our community.

Do you love the gorgeous flower baskets and the twinkle of Christmas lights too? If so, please consider a contribution to the Chamber’s campaign. There is a tremendous cost in materials, maintenance, and manpower to upkeep the summer and winter décor and funding for this program is raised exclusively through our annual campaign.

Donations can be made toward beautification overall or, for $275 each, you can sponsor basket or designated a gift in memoriam of a loved one.

We still need to raise nearly $20,000 to make our annual goal for the beautification program. The funds we raise now will direct if and how many flower baskets we can hang for the 2024 summer season.

Gifts of any amount are appreciated! You can make a gift online at masonchamber.com/beautification or by check payable to SMCCF, PO Box 2389, Shelton, WA 98584.

Donations will directly contribute to preserving and expanding this beloved tradition, allowing our city to continue bloom for residents and visitors alike. The success of the Beautification Program hinges on the collective efforts of our community.

Community partners are paramount to carry out this plan year over year. Specifically, the ongoing support of City of Shelton, Hood Canal Communications, Mason PUD 3, and Skookum Rotary who contribute time, money, and resources to the setup and maintenance of beautification projects. And, of course, or thanks goes out to those of you who have already made your gift. Thank you!
