Help Brighten Our Community & Light Up The Season.

In the spirit of community, the Chamber is launching a heartfelt appeal to residents and businesses to support its annual Beautification Program. The program, a symbol of civic pride, not only transforms our city into a winter wonderland with twinkling Christmas lights but also graces our streets with vibrant summer flower baskets. As the Chamber aims to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our beloved city, it is calling upon the generosity of the community to ensure the program’s continued success.

The holiday season is here, filling Shelton with festive spirit! Once again, the Chamber and our community partners will transform the town with sparkling lights and cheerful decorations. Railroad Avenue will shine with strands of lights, and vibrant bulbs will wrap around the trees lining the street.

This winter, the lamp posts—once adorned with summer blooms—will be decked out in tinsel and shimmering ornaments, bells, and stars. Santa and his reindeer will take flight over the intersection at 7th & Railroad, while Tollie and the caboose will be dressed in fresh greenery, generously donated each year by Wild Greens International. Kristmas Town Kiwanis will also embrace the season by decorating Overlook Park and Evergreen Square’s clocktower with lush garlands provided by Continental Floral Hiawatha.

We still need to raise $20,000 to make our annual goal for the beautification program. The funds we raise now will direct how many flower baskets and lights we can hang next year.

Shelton’s annual transformation into Christmastown USA brings the community together to celebrate in a spirit of holiday unity. This beautification effort is made possible through generous donations from local businesses and residents, helping the Chamber Foundation fund holiday lights in winter and vibrant flower baskets during summer.
