Awards Gala Announcement

Ticket sales are first come, first served at the online portal beginning on Monday, March 15 at 8:00 AM. The Chamber will host its annual Awards Gala 2022 at Little Creek Casino Resort’s Skookum Creek Event Center in person on Friday, April 16 at 7:00p. The City of Shelton is considering a surplus of the land known as the Island Lake Watershed at the corner of Island Lake Drive and Brockdale Road, across from Springfield Loop. Chamber convenes feedback for WSDOT

On February 18, the Chamber gathered members of the business community for a briefing with WSDOT on an upcoming Fish Barrier Removal project. This project is located in both Mason and Thurston Counties on State Route 108 and Highway 101 near Little Creek Casino Resort. A full copy of the presentation can be found here. Chambers host mid-Session Legislation Update

On the morning of Monday, February 15 the Shelton-Mason County and the North Mason Chambers co-hosted the 35th District Legislators for a mid-Session update. Representative Drew MacEwen (R-Union), Senator Tim Sheldon (D-Potlatch), and Representative Dan Griffey (R-Allyn) shared with Chamber members an overview of what has happened, a review of their projects and sponsored bills, and commented on trends emerging and anticipated outcomes for the 2021 Legislative Session.

Chamber Supports Workforce Housing

Safely Reopening Washington Discussed in Legislature

On Wednesday, January 20 a hearing was held for Senate Bill 5114 on safely reopening Washington that was co-sponsored by Senator Tim Sheldon (D- Potlatch). Nearly 1,300 individuals weighed in on the bill, with more than 1,100 of those being in favor of it.
