About Peninsula Credit Union
Peninsula Credit Union has proudly served Mason, Kitsap, Jefferson, Clallam, and Grays Harbor counties since 1935. As it celebrates 90 years of member-owned banking in 2025, the credit union remains committed to the values of trust, community, and financial empowerment. Founded by employees of Shelton’s former Rayonier Pulp and Paper Mill, PCU was built on the belief in cooperative banking that benefits all. That mission endures today, with profits reinvested into member services through lower lending rates, fewer fees, and personalized financial guidance.
In addition to offering financial products designed to support members at every stage of life, Peninsula Credit Union is actively involved in community outreach across the region. From teaching financial literacy in schools to participating in local events like the Mason County Forest Festival and Bite of Reality fairs, the credit union’s team is dedicated to building stronger communities. Named Business of the Year in 2014, PCU continues to lead with service and heart as it looks ahead to the next 90 years.
