Chamber Convenes Candidates Forum

As ballots hit mailboxes, the Chamber will host one final forum. The event will be held in-person at 6:00p on Monday, October 17 at the historic Colonial House; the program will also be streamed live via Mason WebTV powered by HCC.

The following races (in ballot order) have been invited to participate: Legislative District 35 State Senator (Drew C MacEwen and Julianne Gale); Legislative District 35 State Representative, Position 1 (Daniel Griffey and James DeHart); Legislative District 35 State Representative, Position 2 (Sandy Kaiser and Travis Couture); Mason County Commissioner, District 3 (Miguel Gutierrez and Sharon Trask); and Public Utility District 3, Commissioner District 1 (Juli Tuson and Randy Lewis). Candidates are provided an opportunity to share their viewpoints, address topics and questions, as well as submit questions to be asked of their opponent.

The forum is be hosted by the Chamber in partnership with the Shelton-Mason County Journal, North Mason Chamber, and Mason WebTV powered by HCC . The program will moderated by Chamber President & CEO Deidre Peterson and Journal Publisher John Lester.

Not included in this Candidate Forum for the General Election (again, listed in ballot order) are: Patti McLean and George Blush for Mason County Assessor; Paddy McGuire and Steve Duenkel for Mason County Auditor; Charles G. Rhodes and Sharon K Moore-Fogo for Mason County Clerk; Jaime Taylor runs unopposed for Mason County Coroner (short & full-term); Michael Dorcy runs unopposed for Mason County Prosecutor; Ryan Spurling runs unopposed for Mason County Sheriff; and Elisabeth (Lisa) Frazier runs unopposed for Mason County Treasurer.
