Swinging Success at Networking on the Greens Annual Golf Tournament

Golf enthusiasts and businesses alike gathered for an incredible day on the greens at the 13th Annual Chamber Golf Tournament, held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Alderbrook Golf & Yacht Club. With warm weather and gorgeous greens, the stage was set for a remarkable event that combined a passion for golf with a commitment to making a positive impact on our community.

The tournament was not just about teeing off and sinking putts; it was a powerful demonstration of the commitment of our members to supporting the Chambers and its community causes. Participants and sponsors witnessed exceptional sportsmanship, competitive spirit, and lots of fun along the way.

After a day filled with remarkable shots and strategic play, golfers gathered on the exquisitely appointed patio for a summer cookout, cold beverages, and camraderie. We’re thrilled to announce the winners of this year’s tournament:

Congratulations to First Place Builders FirstSource—Sullivan Welty, Travis Sandberg, and Shane Hardin—scoring 47. The second and third place teams tied at 49 and were decided by their scorecards. Second Place ultimately was awarded to City of Shelton—Jared Schuffenhauer, Matt Deemer, Robert Chavis, and Max Franklin—while Our Community Credit Union—Tracy West, Brandon West, Dale Jodway, and Brad Bonser—took third. These individuals levied there skill with purchasable advantages to earn positions atop the leaderboard.

In addition to the best ball tournament, the event also featured course contests that added an extra layer of excitement to the day’s proceedings. These contests tested specific skills and precision, elevating the competition and adding an element of fun for both participants and spectators. Closest to the Drive for All Players went to Chris Auseth and Closest to the Line went to Tristan Sytsma (Men) and Jennifer Rutledge (Ladies). The Ping Pong Drive on Hole #1 was dominated by Kory Kline, who took home the $100 cash prize.

This event was made possible thanks to the the support of our many sponsors who, along with investing in the Chamber, help to create a fun filled field for the players to enjoy.
